What I’ve been up to.
It’s been a while since I last posted. Sorry about that. We had been away traveling around Spain, taking in dozens of museums, churches and art galleries in Segovia, Toledo, Granada/Alhambra and Madrid. I even came face-to-face with a Francis Bacon self-portrait in Madrid! That’s when I remembered I needed to get back to blogging!
June was a busy month. After barely returning from Spain, I plunged into a weekend at the MOTIVE Crime Writers’ of Canada festival: three days of lectures, presentations, readings and book selling. The weather held and apart from one or two burst of strong winds, it was a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with fellow authors and engage with crime fiction readers and fans.
Also, in June, I attended the Canadian Crime Writers regional workshops and their general meeting. More recently, I worked on a couple of book club presentations and a sequel to A Painting to Die For.
In September, I participated in Word on the Street and sold quite a few books. It’s all been encouraging.
